Reports of widespread irregularities in #Halalan2025 are deeply alarming — and most of them point to the failure of automated counting machines (ACMs).
A major concern: the use of software that hasn’t been independently verified. This opens the door to electoral fraud, rigging results in favor of entrenched political dynasties and traditional politicians desperate to cling to power.
Even now, there are troubling cases of vote receipts not matching actual ballots, broken machines, long delays, paper jams, overvotes in party-list ballots, and ballots being rejected due to faint ink or dust.
On top of that, we’re seeing red-tagging of progressive candidates, vote buying, illegal campaigning, and blatant disregard for COMELEC standards by the Board of Electoral Inspectors.
These violations infringe on our right to clean and honest elections. Every stolen or manipulated vote is a stolen chance at living wages, affordable food, quality public services, regular jobs, and genuine change.
These incidents prove that our call for manual counting is not just valid — it’s urgent. The contract with Miru and the use of ACMs must be reviewed and investigated.
Our vote matters. Let’s stay vigilant and fight back against election fraud. Get ready to act — our democracy depends on it.
